Our Carruthers family immigrated to Ontario from Scotland in the 1840's to a farm located near Morewood Ontario. The family has since spread across Canada from Ontario to BC. The original homestead outside of Morewood still has a member of our Carruthers family living on the loacation.
My paticular branch of the family moved to Manitoba in the early 1900's from Morewood shortly after the CPR railway headed West.
I am currently living in Hamilton Ontario, part of the southern Ontario fruit basket.
